Our Visit Up North Part Two

Here we have a few more pics of us with Grandmother playing at the park, they are just too cute not to post!
Yes, Joe still had the 'stache. It has since been removed and his face made clean but not before our Family Christmas Photo unfortunately. I will post IT soon.

So much love!

Again with the Guitar Hero? The kids were having so much fun.

Our Visit Up North Part One

We went up to Provo/Salt Lake the weekend before Thanksgiving to see my Mom and Lindsey and Jason and his family. Lindsey had a bridal shower on Saturday and then on Sunday we went to Jason's condo for a delicious dinner prepared by his wonderful Mother, Linda. Which brings us to the pics of the kids playing Guitar Hero... I thought this was so cute. Buster was helping his little bro play up here and down there, Abby is helping Sterling get the hang of it. Rock on!

Me and my cute mama and my cute baby at the park.

Ooooops...

Lindsey and Ace cuddle and play. Awww.
We all had a great time with Jason and his welcoming family and it is always sweet to spend time with my Mom.

WARNING: Ace is on the prowl!

Yeah, that's right, my littlest man is crawling. We are all in the process of training ourselves to remember to shut the doors and clean up all small things from all areas of the house. He even pulls himself up already. He started that about a week after he started crawling. Whoa, horsey! I think he's stuck on Fast Forward or something. His babyhood is just whizzing by way too fast for our liking. But he is still so sweet and cuddly and chubby and cute!

The kids were so excited for him and wanted to show anyone who came over "Ace's new trick". He was about 6 1/2 months old at the time. (Sorry, I've been really busy, gosh!) They would lay him on his back on the floor and Ace would quickly roll over, get up on his hands and knees (or feet) and then enter the sitting position to a rousing round of applause! Yay, Ace!

Happy Helper

Sterling just loves to help me in the kitchen. He always asks me what I'm making and if he can help me. We have a lot of fun cooking together. This time we made fresh raspberry cupcakes. After we got them in the oven, Sterling told me I was a really good helper! Well, I think he is a really sweet boy!

Wiggin' Out

I'm afraid Joe may have emotionally scarred some innocent little children answering our door like this and yelling, "You kids better stay of my grass!" Our yard is all rocks and dirt right now til we can put in the proper drainage system it requires. He had a big heart tattooed on his breast with 'Holly' written over it that you can't see in this shot. He's so embarrassing!
This is the sweet 80's mullet wig Sterling picked out for Joe for his B-Day. Doesn't he look like the swordsman on The Princess Bride who keeps saying, "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die." He's growing this mostachio out as a dare. I kinda like it cause no one else does.

Poor Ace had to entertain us for a minute and wear Buster's nerd costume glasses!

Chantel and I strikin' a pose. I think she looks good in this wig. (Here are your pics Chantel!)

It is fun to be blonde!

Halloween Night

This is our hot dog baby Ace, nice and cozy and we just wanted to eat him up!
Sterling was Frankenstein and it fit his cranky self that day!

Buster was a funny nerd who made us all laugh.

This is Abby as a witch, a cute, sassy witch.

The costumed crew on our porch ready for their sugar high to begin!

Daddy Daughter Date

The Activity Days Leaders in our ward went all out on a spooky Masquerade Ball for the girls and their Daddy's, it was so sweet. Abby loved getting all dressed up and spending a special evening with her Father. They learned how to waltz and boogied the night away.

Big Daddy's Day of Birth

The

Father of our Family celebrated his 34th Year of Birth on Oct. 29th. He worked all day then I took him to El Pollo Loco for dinner while Abby and Buster were at a Halloween Party and my friend, Chantel, sweetly watched the two little boys. When we all got home we sang 'The Song' and had Brownies with Andes Candies melted on top (you should try this, it's so yummy!) and opened presents. Afterwards, Joe went to a neighbors house to watch some sporting event, football game? Anyways, we love him even with all his quirks (if that's what you call them!) Happy Birthday my Big Man!

Pumpkin Party

Our dear friends, the Bakers, had us over for a pumpkin carving party for Family Home Evening last Monday. The kids had a really fun and messy time carving and painting their pumpkins. Sterling is such a clean freak he would not help clean out his pumpkin innards at all. I had to pose him with his hand about to reach into the pumpkin while Buster de-gunked it for him. He did however, carefully paint his pumpkin without much mess. He's a funny kid. Abby was kind enough to paint Ace's tiny pumpkin for him. We also had a donut eating contest that my family dominated at surprisingly. It was a great night and we had so much fun that I felt obligated to return the next morning and help Chantel clean up her lovely home. Thanks Bakers!

Buster won first place!

Tonight was the awards ceremony for the Reflections Contest at our elementary school. I don't know if it's a nationwide contest but it's basically the students interpretation of the theme which was "Wow..." this year. The students can enter a piece of visual art, literature, photography, or musical composition. Buster wrote a theme song for his Holiday he created a couple of years ago, Big World Day! He worked sooo hard on it and we are so proud of him. The words to his song are...
I walked in the desert, oh, with my friends.
It's a big world, look at the view.
I made up this day.
It's called Big World Day!
Wooooowwwww!
I guess he goes on to Regionals or something now. Go Buster!!
Abby got honorable mention for her story titiled, Year 7000. She did a really great job on it.
I'm trying to get the video clip of him performing his song to upload but it's been over an hour so I will try again tomorrow...

Us

Hey, hey, hey! Here I am, on my new blog! Hopefully I can keep up with you all much better with this here bloggy thing.
Ace (five months old) is growing up way too fast for our liking. We already miss how snuggly and sleepy he was a couple of months ago. Although he is so much fun now; wiggly and giggly and slobbery fun.
Sterling (three and a half) is sweet and hilarious. He recently made up the word comflated which means he needs to watch cartoons. After styling his hair the other morning he said, "let me go look in the mirror...I look fantastic!"
Buster (seven years old) moves quickly from one thing to the next. He loves soccer and football and wrestling. He is quick with a joke and has a gut-busting 'Eh, Old Buddy, Old Pal' routine that you have to experience to understand.
Abby (nine years going on nineteen) is my right-hand (wo)man, okay, girl. As helpful and as full of spit and vinegar as ever. She loves to be independent and do things her way. Currently she takes a Hawaiian Dance class and is learning to shake the hips that she may have one day. She was voted friendliest person in her grade last year at school.
I am busy trying to keep the little ones happy all day and I have started working on the photo calendars I make each year for the grandparents for Christmas. I love baking and cooking and trying new recipes. I'm trying to figure out what to make the kids for Halloween. I bought a hot dog costume for the baby on clearance last year. We have some previously worn costumes that I am trying to convince the older boys to use this year. The Frankensein costume Buster wore a couple years back didn't get it's fair share of wear. Anywho, enough about me....
Joe works hard everyday for us as a realtor/golfpro/entrepreneur/businessman/husband/football coach/writer/father/sports fan/wrestling coach/scoutmaster/teacher/soccer coach/comedian/etc. It's hard on him to be so awesome.
