The homes here were so cute and colorful and lots of them were historic ship captain's homes from the early 1900's. The infamous 'Goonies' house can also be found here in Astoria. We asked the kid at Dairy Queen if he knew where it was and he told us and said that the lady that owns it now is in no mood for fans of the movie looking at her house, ever. She remodeled it and painted it and will call the cops if you try to come near it. Fun. We found many other things to do, like...eat seafood! The Cannery Cafe is a must try!
