So after a fun-filled trip to FL I flew back about 2 weeks later for the funeral of my dear Aunt Janice who very sadly died in a car accident.  She was an amazingly humble, talented, sweet woman of great faith.  I love the memories I have of her and her twinkle-in-her-eye smile.  She will never be forgotten.  She leaves behind a husband, three children and numerous adoring grandchildren and loved ones.  One good thing that came of her passing was that very nearly the whole Davis family came together in FL to attend the funeral.  These are relatives that I hadn't seen for at least TWENTY years.  It was so wonderful to see them again and catch up on our lives.

Mommy Vacay to Paradise

I recently had the pleasure of taking a trip to Florida for a few days!  March is the perfect time to visit Florida, if anyone is wondering when a good time to go would be.  The weather was magical and the scenery is so lush and tropical.  I honestly forgot how beautiful it is there.  The very best part of my trip was spending time with family and friends!  In these pics I went on a dolphin encounter cruise with my dad and step-mom and step-brother and it was so very fun.  We saw quite a few dolphin's.  Probably the same ones over and over swimming around us but who can really tell?  We even saw a baby dolphin and it swam right under me on the boat!  Then we did some sight-seeing and they dropped us off on an island where we found seashells and sea urchin.  I also did some shopping and a lot of eating and walking around various locations and more eating.  It was very relaxing and enjoyable!  Thanks mom and dad for a really terrific time!  I got to spend but one day with Julie and David and their cute kids, it was definitely too short but so nice to be with them.

Ace's First Haircut

Little Baby Ace is now 11 1/2 months old, unbelievable to me!  Anyways, he was getting a little shaggy in the hair department.  A certain someone, who shall remain nameless and nephewless, had taken to calling him 'Little Mozart'.  Alas, twas time for the monumentous First Haircut!  After three boys I've gotten quite skilled with the scissors and it was quick and painless.  What a little cutie pie!

Sterling's Fourth Birthday Bash

So we had a fun party for Sterling although it turned out to be about an hour too long!  I guess we were too efficient at going from one activity to the next.  Abby was a great hostess helper and basically ran all the games for me, she's amazing that way!  One of the many reasons why I keep her around!  What would I do without her?  Lindsey and Jason graced us with their presence and helped with the party too!  We had so much fun with them, ate so much yummy food, and played many games.  What a great weekend!

They all had fun bashing the referee!  Isn't the yard looking lovely? Ugh. I made Joe spread out a tarp so the candy didn't get embedded in the dirt!

We played a balloon popping game and I think feather-weight Sterling lost this game because he could not pop that balloon!  But he had fun trying!

I can't believe my little guy is 4 already!!!  Abby made the banner and put it up all by herself and that's Buster wrapped up in crepe paper and toilet paper for the first gift unwrapping activity at the party!!??  They came up with that idea all by themselves, trust me.

And of course, pin the tail on the donkey!  Sterling just kept saying, "I can't see, I can't see."
